Hi. I’m Heidi, aka the Hippie Dragon, owner / maker, at Hippie Dragon Designs. Thank you for stopping by.
I love creating. Growing up, I was always making something. My grandmothers put knitting needles and crochet hooks in my hands before I started kindergarten. It was a while before I could make an actual project, but it is an art I still enjoy today.
While I continue to enjoy knitting and crocheting, I have expanded my skills and interests. I do all kinds of needlework and I have tried several jewelry making techniques (mostly because I love wearing it).
When I found polymer clay, I was hooked. Polymer clay is like play-doh for grown ups with the ability to make amazing pieces of art.
Not that I stopped there. I am currently focusing on resin. I love the sparkle and shine of resin pieces. The results can be stunning.
I love making jewelry. Creating brings out my joy. I hope you find something that brings a smile to your face.
I’ve also been writing poetry, so you’ll get a little taste of that as well.
